I am not a tuner, but my guess is BPM does not want the risk of the engine blowing up with a BPM tune and getting blamed when the idiot owner or his friend or wife who does not know any better puts pump gas in the car. An E85 tune is E85 only. A flex fuel system allows either fuel but as far as I know does not incorporate a tune -- I don't think BPM can do a variable timing tune that alters the tune depending on feedback from the ethanol content analyzer, but I am not certain about that. Having an ethanol content analyzer in the system is ideal but if you are the only driver and will use only E85, you can skip the flex fuel system and spend your money instead of just a tune. Gintani has done them but I am not sure who else.

Your recent comment on the E85 tuning thread was that a person doesn't need the AFD module, if they are willing to run strictly E85, which makes perfect sense to me. However, I have gotten steady pushback from BPM, when I inquired about an upgrade to E85 from his Stage II I am currently running. He is insisting I need the module first, and offered some technical explanation for it. I am not convinced. If I were to turn to another tuner to get this done, who would update you recommend?
