Question for CR Spotless owners

Weird question, but how much DInresin does each canister hold? As best I can tell from researching, it only holds 5L per cartridge.

The second question is if someone has the RV mods conversion... How much resin do those hold?

I'm trying to redo my DI setup, and debating between going with 4.5x20 housings like a cr spotless, or a pair of shorter ones that are fairly compact and hold 5L of resin because they're a similar setup to the RV mods conversion.

I believe the 4.5x20 CR Spotless hold about 1/3 cubic foot of resin.
My buddy had the RV Mod and he said it takes about 1/2 cubic foot.

I just filled my two canisters after doing the RV Mod and was able to get just under a 1/4 cubic foot of resin in each one. If you purchase a 1/2 cubic foot resin, you should be fine with a little left over.

Make sure your system produces enough DI water for your needs, so you're not having to replace the resin too often. Depending on the PPM of your water supply and the amount of water you use for each wash, you may be better off with the 20" canisters. I have a flow meter on my system and I typically use around 10 gal of DI water per wash. This is only using it for the foam canon and the final rinse. I'm running an Active 2.0 pressure washer that flows at 1.9 GPM.

I have the DIW20 with the RV mod. Not sure about cubic ft etc but I usually buy the 20 lb bag from On the Go on Amazon and have a bit left after.

I'm using it with an AVA GO for rinse only, it's at about 1.6 gpm.

I had a Spotbye DI canister that holds 5L of resin (could maybe pack it down and fit a little more in). It worked well enough, but I was thinking of either adding a second one, or going to a different setup entirely, to get the extra capacity of a RV mods setup. Probably don't really need it though.

The other half is I'm trying to make it for into my detail cart as best I can, and these 8" diameter canisters that are closer to 15" tall fit way better than a big 4.5x20 filter housing.

Mine is mounted to the end of my cart using rivserts. Not sure what size your cart is though. Pressure washer sits on the bottom on the other side to counter balance.

Harbor Freight 30" cart with 1 drawer. The metal that's along the top I was going to mount it too is pretty thin, it flexes very easily so I'm thinking if I went with a setup where I mount it, I'd need to reinforce it. Not a huge deal, but the 5L canisters fit in the bottom tray (but are kinda hard to get to for disconnecting and connecting).
