The car did not change my mind immediately however I can say that after a week or two with the vehicle I’ve really come to like it a lot. Here are my impressions on why it grows on you quickly.
1. 3 cars in one. I was not an EV person at all, actually the opposite. However after now having the ability to tool around for short trips on hybrid or mostly electric in hybrid mode I really dig it. Don’t have to short cycle motor and you save a few sheckles in gas! I have M1 set to ICE w moderate engine, chassis, transmission settings and M2 is full launch with all to max settings. So you end up with a quiet smooth around town cruiser in EV, a responsive car in M1 that the wife doesn’t give me looks bc it’s stiff and sensitive and then full hooligan mode.
2. Styling. I got the dark grey frozen with red/black interior, black rims annd CCB and the lines look great. Muscular but not comedic. Get a lot of the younger crowd pulling up beside me with windows down and cameras out they love it
3. Comfort. This car is a LOT more comfortable than my F90…….. like a lot. For a daily driver it is a huge improvement and DD is 95% of the task for the car. The interior is definitely a let down for 142k car but the tech gets you past it as it is not dated and works well. HUGE difference when I clean wife’s X7 M50i with full tartufo which seems very upscale but what can [...]
