I wouldn’t really call this an X-pipe. An X-pipe is when the exhaust flow from two different exhaust streams converges. This helps one exhaust pulse “pull” the other along with something called scavenging.

The valves version of this exhaust looks like it would be straight pipes with the valves open or flowing through a muffler when the valves are closed. It doesn’t look like there is any scavenging.

Since this is an axle-back exhaust it likely won’t be too loud with the valves open since you would still have the all the factory cats and the factory resonator in the middle of the vehicle.
