You have to remember, PPF is porous surface. Things do etch into the PPF but most of the time, these etchings go away on their own. I have had this experience multiple times now on multiple cars. Coating on top of PPF helps but it will etch a bit, then after a few days of sunlight and what not, it just mysteriously disappears.

And if it is TRUE bird droppings and not tree saps, bird droppings will etch even on coatings (if you don't remove it quick enough).
