Depreciation is going to harsh on all of these cars. Electric and plug-in hybrids are doing even worse than ICE vehicles because battery technology is advancing quickly, making even relatively newish cars depreciate quickly. For example, I had a Cayenne Turbo for 3 years that depreciated 32% but my Cayenne Turbo S (plug-in hybrid) depreciated 50% over three years. This was in part that used car prices are generally lower right now but look at used Taycan prices if you want to see scary depreciation.

Unfortunately the same is generally true for most M, AMG and RS cars. Best to enjoy them rather than thinking about them as investments or buy them used since there tend to be a lot of low mileage M, AMG and RS cars if you are flexible on colors and options.

I traded my Cayenne for a lightly used RS6 until I can get an allocation for an individual color M5 touring.
