I have an HEA M5 (G90) and its getting about 20-30kms on full electric commuting but its during the Canadian winter (so -10 to -25C). I prefer hybrid over full electric here.

So back on this topic. I have an X5M, do a lot of school drop off and pick up so lots of idling. Otherwise basically Florida highway between 30-90 miles twice or three times a week. Otherwise it’s a 20 mile round trip to school and back with 6-7 miles on a backed up surface street.

Do you think I’ll see an increase in range / reduced trips to the gas station with the G90/G99 or is that just wishful thinking here?

I realize efficiency isn’t the total goal of this system but the daily livability of hauling a battery around seems like it would drastically improve livability.

Yes I have a level 2 charger at home.

We just went from a 2022 x5 m50
To a new 2025 m5 sedan . I think if my m5 was always on a level 2 charger when not driving I’d visit the gas station less then the x5 . But I don’t have a level 2 charger at home yet . I plug the car into 110 outlet and takes a day and a half to charge which sucks . When plugged into level 2 charger at work it’s taking around 3-4 hours to get to 100 percent charge and costs about 6 bucks to charge
