driving in electric mode/ First service

Not sure if this has been discussed before... but If i drive only in electric mode for the first 2000 kms, does it really need that service?

Or will the service light only come up after 2000 kms on ice mode?

The bigger point of having the 1st service relates more for the ICE to acclimate and having the moving parts wear in. The first oil change will have some debris from that break in that you want to flushout.

I have been using electric for commute and I am at 1221 miles with the service due in another 31 miles yet I have just driven a few miles on electric and it has not changed so maybe it is taking into account a mix of electric and ICE as I am over the stated 1200 miles.

It is having its service tomorrow.

Random question, how long did it take the dealer to do your break-in service?

Its in service for about 2-3 hours. You can usually wait around while they perform the service. Mine was done in about hour.
