Man those wheel arch’s are super undefined and underwhelming for an M car 😕
Interesting that the wheel base length has changed. Pretty unconventional for an M car to receive such a drastic change in the base chassis instead of conventional reinforcing for increased rigidity. |

I dunno. I mean overall the car is not ugly and not a bad looking car. I do like the interior on the new 5 series as well. I’m sure it will grow on most of us eventually. I just don’t know about the massive weight hike.

They should have made the last pure ICE M5 or just not do it at all. Benz failed with it's E-PERFORMANCE models and BMW should have learn for it. It's better to have an pure EV over this whale.

I find the latest 5s design ungainly and poorly proportioned. The rear droops as if they were copying a Mercedes and the front overhang looks too large. Most versions look like they are on stilts due to the lower dark color. I had hoped that BMW M would work on weight reductions to improve performance instead of grafting the XM powertrain onto an M5. Having driven the XM, I was disappointed in its performance. Fast for what it is, but it is still a whale. Nimble is a thing of the past. What a wasted opportunity!
No offense intended for those that like it. Having choices is always good (maybe BMW will wake up and give us some good color combinations that don't involve having to go the Individual route: good luck!). They may sell a lot of them, just none to me. Hopefully they don't languish at dealers after the initial rush like the XM. |

Looks OK, but damn is it heavy. Weighs more than an X5, RS6, etc. Guess a lot of the weight is down low in the chassis, but wow!
