Has anyone cut open the 2 resonators?

I'm considering full catback exhaust and modifying oem ones.

There are a few choices on catbacks, such as Meisterchaft, Valvetronics, etc.

Before making the decision, I want to know how the inside of the resonator look like. Ideally I'd like to put an X and straight piping the end mufflers.

Anyone modify the oem ones?

Yup
The front resonator it is a straight pipe and the back one next to the rear muffler is an X pipe
I did this setup and end up ordering the valvetronic
The car will sound better on idle and slow accelerationof you delete them and put an x pipe but when u push ur car or change gears it still sound like a vaccum cleaner
This car needs a rear mufler also (i did notnstraight pipe rear muffler afraid of drone)

Thanks.
So straight piping (deleting) end mufflers will create drone?
M5s are well insulated, so I wonder how much of that will enter the cabin.

Why did you choose valvetronic over other brands?

I can not say 100% that straight piping end muffler will cause drone but there is a high chance and the car does not have valves so if you decide to use hybrid and cruise it will be annoying and i am sure it will drone on low rpm and high gears
As far as why valvetronic given there is 2 options for now and ro me they sound the best and they have valves in case u want to cruise without noise and they are titanium so for the price they are the best (i know they are made in china but what Not made in china these days lol)
I am not paying 10k for a akrapovic not worth it
