VIDEO | Milltek midpipe + secondary cats delete | Install & Review
![]() Featured on BIMMERPOST.com As you know, the G9X M5 is very quiet OEM, quieter than my Dyson. Especially here in the EU with OPFs and valves. It was time to unleash the V8. I have put a Milltek midpipe and went catless for the secondary downpipes as they have no sensors. Really happy with the setup. Much cheaper than a catback and as loud, while retaining OEM mufflers. No errors. On the video some dyno runs (before/after) - extra 30 hp from the new setup without tuning - 790 HP / 1120 Nm. 0.3 second faster as well on the 100-200 kph. You will also find some fly-bys of course. Enjoy the watch!

1 month review. The sound is a perfect match for the G90. This setup gives a deep V8 rumble to the M5 and made the car such a joy to drive. Cold starts, downshifts and upshifts all sound so good.
Still no errors even by going catless on the secondary downpipe. Same for OPF, BerkPerformance here in the Netherlands - who installed the exhaust - also flashed the software. Here is a picture with the stock dyno runs vs the new exhaust setup. No tuning/calibration has been done, ECU still locked. The car feels faster. ![]() And these are the 100-200 + 200-250 times. ![]() Last edited by ochoyasinco; 01-04-2026 at 03:07 PM.. |
