if i am in NY state residence, can NJ state suspend/remove my license based on tickets/violations i got in NJ state?

NJ can't directly suspend your NY license, but they do send requests to the NY DMV to suspend license if a warrent was issued in NJ for failure to appear in court.

+1 DMV's will talk to eachother and can request another state pull you license.

It's called the violators compact states, and yes they can suspend out of state licenses.
