Firefox 6.0 Laggy?

for those of you that have updated to firefox 6.0, are you guys experiencing some lag when opening a new tab, youtube, yahoo, etc? sometimes my firefox even crashes which never happened before...

Or reinstall FF 6 from scratch.

I think 5 is the most recent version I had installed. It sucked. I switched to chrome and have been happy since.

i feel 6 is much better then 4 or 5. speed and memory hogging wise. try clearing everything from tools > clear recent history cookies. also
try tools > options >advanced > network tab > clear now -offline storage

also disable/uninstall any bs add-ons.

Every machine I upgraded to 5 on caused it to crash immediately upon opening. I got lucky and found a saved file of the 3.6 version which Is what I'm running now.

Did you ever have 5 installed or did you skip straight to 6?

Besides the fact that it's a memory hog, chrome has worked well for me.

I only use it for better privacy add on which cleans out the flash permanent cookies.

Question...I am a fairly new Mac user I was wondering how I update Flash. I use FF exclusively for web browsing if that matters.

YouTube on FF 5 would not work, I had to use IE.

Now that I have upgraded to FF 6 life is great again.
