LOL. Says the man who's not even in medical school, yet. Sorry, I was the same way when I was in college, so I can relate. It was derm, all the way. My goal was based solely on what I'd heard about the field. Looking back, it was kind of stupid. Yeah, derm and rad are both lifestyle specialties, but unless you've spent alot of time rotating in either (and not in other fields), I wouldn't close the door on the other fields. And definitely don't let your classmates know your sole interests in your first 2 years (in med school, that is) - you'll definitely get some eye rolls. So for me, after 2 months of clinical time and research in derm, I was bored to death and had to give it the big thumbs down.
So my advice (sorry, I know you didn't ask for it ) is to kick ass on your boards and class rank so you can go into whatever you want, then choose after you've spent a good amount of time rotating in the different areas.

You left one out, so I can't vote.
You forgot Vocational Diploma. I went to school 50 hours a week for a year straight to get the "right" to be a technician... not to mention the continued schooling since then for BMW specific training. |

Sorry about that, I tried to be as complete as possible without making the poll too long. Would a vocational diploma be similar to an associate degree? (that gray area between HS diploma and bachelor degree).

Similar, I suppose. Probably a similar number of credit hours. Not the same kind of learning, but at least a similar level of educating.
Like I said, 50+/- hours per week, 50 weeks. 2500 hours? |

Same here. I worked for the College of Business during the day and classes at night. It was a hell of a lot cheaper and allowed me to sharpen my pool game and beer drinking skills on the weekends for many quality years.

Just a Bachelors. Was going to get my MBA, but after talking to a relative it's sort of pointless for me personally.
