Amen. I still shake my head over his death. The poor guy lost his wife a couple of months earlier and he was grossly over medicated. Something like 40 pills a day for various ailments.

RIP Johnny Cash - still like his songs / voice, and actually went to see a play about him when I was in PEI (only time I've been to a play, but was willing to go since it was about him). Play was just ok in retrospect, but happy I went.

Edit - while I'm not trying to divert this to the religion forum, if he was truly a Christian and I suspect he was, then we can be assured he is resting peacefully...just a point.

I've said it in the past, my iTunes playlist spans multiple genres over multiple generations.

Johnny Cash is a big hit on the weekends when we're cooking BBQ at the gazebo my dad has at his house.

so is Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty and the legendary Waylon Jennings

p.s.
one minute my dad can request "Man in Black" and then all of a sudden tell me that he wants to here some Snoop Dog. or some Blured Lines HAHAHA !!!

true story.

my dad is the epitome of diversity.....
