I walked passed a DB9 not too long ago. It was the first time I saw it in the flesh, and it was a huge disappointment.
The car was too bland and uninspiring. The only nice thing about it was the paint. The V8 Vantage is a much better looking car. DB9 V8 Vantage If you still really like the DB9, look at the Jaguar XKR. It's a very similar car, and costs almost half as much. About the comparison between the DB9 and the Gallardo? I'm not a big fan of either car, but I prefer the Gallardo. |

I would lean towards the DB9 more between the two, although I'm a bit skeptical about the build quality.
I test drove one about a year and a half ago and there was a problem with the brake light. No matter whether the brake lever was up or down, the brake light remained on. The sales rep couldn't figure out why. Minor problem really, but one that should't surface in a car of its price range. I love the styling and the mystique of Aston Martin's but I think I'll wait until their production phases out of Ford before I buy one. |

Couldnt have said it better myself. Sure you might wanna create an image, but you should pay more attention to what you like. It's you that's gonna drive it and own it...

I completely agree. Which is why I still think Lambos are awesome cars and drool over it whenever I see one. But, if I had the money for a car of that level, I'd rather have the Aston. Timeless and fluid lines on the Astons are just pure sex IMO.
