Interesting to see Mini sales, especially on all the screwball models that BMW keeps telling us we all want. Looks like diluting the line and offering six cuts of the same sausage may not be the answer after all. Good thing they haven't done that with BMW. Oh, wait...

We have the new 14' x3 and I'm okay now with the purchase after parking it next to the new x5. I swear our x3 is almost the same size and stance. Really not impressed with the new x5. sad.

I guess it's personal preference but I thought the new on looks fantastic, you can definitely tell the x3 and e70 x5 look dated next to it! |

I'm already seeing the X5s on the road. This was a similar trend with the F30. Once they hit dealers, I immediately saw them on the road. Heck, I've already seen more 4-Series, in the short time they've been available, than I've seen ATSs

The new X5 isn't a failure at all. Like rbarker33 said, you can't find them anywhere as production hasn't been able to keep up and the V8 models have been extremely difficult to get. Every X5 we have on order is sold

IMO, there is a large difference in size and driving feel driving a F25 and F15.
Read carefully what Jason has posted, this is BMW NA sales. Hence does not include the rest of the world. The production numbers for January from SC are: 2014 Production - January X3 Units: 13,423 X5 Units: 11,532 X6 Units: 1,941 Production #'s for F15 are strong. The X5's numbers have also increased from Nov and Dec. Also, there were/are many reported production shortage issues for F15 from Nappa leather, rear camera, 20" wheels. Absent the shortage issues, the true production numbers would even be larger. Hence, some say F15 is a failure, au contraire. https://www.bmwusfactory.com/manufac...82537968#stats |
