335i vs SL550 or SL500?

Well not sure which model this was but it was debadged. So im sure it was either a 500 or 550. Not sure if you you guys can tell from the video or not.

No AMG badge and no v8 komressor on the side. I was coming back from the meet last night (well I should say this morning. 1am) caravaning with oc335i when the SL was tailing me pretty aggressively. I was hoping it was a 55

I let him pass and saw it had exhaust, suspension and some wheels. So I said what the hell.

I got next to him and kept a steady pace. He was trying to get me to go and kept gunning it. I waited for him to go again, and when he did, I down shifted and walked away pretty quickly. So I didnt know he was going or not.

2nd time, he paced me again and guned it. I didnt down shift and just stepped on it in 6th gear @ 40mph, and I was braking even with him / creeping slowly.

3rd time I just yelled 3 honks and he said " cool. " So we did the 3 honks and it was pretty bad.

After all the races he gave me a thumbs up and i did the same. He was a cool guy.

Was kinda funny tho, because he was yelling out his car " What kinda car is that?!?"

I wanted to say m3 really bad, but I just said 335 lol.

Him trying to get me to bite lol. His car sounded good tho.

3rd in 60, i think you can only hear 2 of the 3 honks.

AMGs have the quad exhaust....but and AMG would have been a lot harder to pull on, I would assume...

Lol naw, I was at the gtg in pasedena thats why i had one.

Ya I knew it wasnt an AMG just by the way it looked. I was hoping it was, but when I didnt hear the s/c I was like

! I think its the 5.0 v8 306hp(sl500)....not the the 5.4 v8 380hp(sl550)....Because those 550's are fast....anyway, cant really tell because you got procede so

....u make everything look easy...kep up the good work and be safe

That car with exhaust sounds big n' nasty! I have the SL 550 black on black 20's and that kind of sounds like the 550 motor. The 550 with the 382 hp motor is no joke and very fast...I think my stock 335i is faster, though. The SL 500 is a terd and you should have walked him much harder with your PROcede. If he had the clear strip in the center, 550...if it was solid red, 500.

MB states 5.3 0-60 to put things into perspective....it's fast but I think you were racing a 550.
