Things I miss about BMWs
About 18 months ago I interrupted a string of 5 BMW purchases and went over to MB. My C300 looks great (IMO) and has some nice touches, but there are a few BMW features I miss.
1. Heated steering wheel (oh my cold hands) 2. Center cool air vents (brilliant idea I wish MB would copy/steal) 3. Rain sensing wipers (My C300 has them, but they don't work as well as BMW's) 4. Trunk Space! 5. Windshield washer spray (the C300 sort of dribbles it onto the bottom of the windshield. BMW has a better spray pattern and coverage.) Anyone else switch breeds and miss something from the previous one?

I actually miss the iDrive from my 135i. My S4 of the same vintage was terrible in comparison and my now VW CC is a step down in just about every metric but it's cheap and looks nice so I'm happy.

Miss my BMW A LOT... It would stay warm inside the car OVERNIGHT, even though it's 45 degrees outside I would keep on looking for the iDrive when my g37s has some touch screen BS... I would UNKNOWINGLY speed down the freeway...

Interesting, I found the 2010 Audi MMI far superior to the 2010 version of iDrive and even the version in my 2012 (though I like it just fine, it's loads better than the pre-2011's iDrive). |

It just did everything I needed it to, and it did it so quickly and intuitively. I could access all of the features I needed without looking and I had all of the go to features set to my memory buttons. This MFT in my Mustang gets the job done, and it has a ton of features, but I fucking HATE touch screens. It's so needlessly slow to perform tasks because of all the layered menus.

The 2016 Q7 large navigation screen with digital dash(virtual cockpit) looks really good. I remember reading Audi claims the brand new MMI operation will be child's play. Last edited by hellrotm; 02-04-2015 at 05:28 PM.. |

I hate the rain sensing wipers......complete down pour and it swipes like its a light drizzle.....light mist and the wipers go as fast as they can.....I'd rather choose the setting I want, not let some computer do it for me.
