Next up is the BMW 2er Gran Tourer and BMW 1er LCi. And of course another concept car.
Scott please tell us a bit more about the "BMW M" you mentioned a few weeks back?

The M-Sport Package I believe it's called No need for a new model when you can just equip a couple options.
+1 to the question (any news here Scott/Jason? Last Scott said was rumblings of an idea floated about a big diesel)

Is this being reserved for the B series engines?

As for adding options, not everyone wants to take the Lego approach, especially those who get company cars... Can't see many employers sanctioning additional aftermarket LSDs and carbon splitters. I'd like to see an off the peg M performance car for 3 and 4 series. Seems a bit weird that every 3 and 4 BMW from here to Timbuktu now has an M badge on the side, but you cannot get one with the actual M tweaks built in that grace the top standard 1, 2, 5, X5, X6 models

So Audi have S4/S5 and now Mercedes have C450 AMG Sport.. Something is missing from the party!

Looking good. Exact dates I was hoping for. Trading in the 335is for ///M4 and ED.
I got my 335is in October for this exact reason. Timing will be perfect. Very happy.

I'm trying to plan an ED trip around the M4 convertible which is showing 10/14 "regular production" ... any thoughts on these 2 questions:

1.) is that the soonest ED would be available?

2.) How accurate are these dates?

thanks!

I am doing the same thing for the ///M4 Cabrio. But, I have a little more time.

As far as I know, the dates are pretty solid as long as you get your order in with the
dealership and get your confirmation. Since it is ED, you eliminate many variables.

so let me get this straight... 228xDrive, 428i xDrive convertible is ok'd, but a manual version of the wagon is too specialized?

Found something new for MY2015, from 07/2014:

- for Navigation Professional updates are going to be free of charge
- delta map updates will be applied automatically Over-the-Air using Mobile Network
- same for RTTI
- integration of realtime fuel price data

This is a press release for Germany (and in german), but I guess most of that will also apply to other countries as well.

Jason,

Do you know if the M235i xDrive will have the same suspension as the RWD car? Same ride height?

Thanks
Bruce

The 2015 M235i cp shows 8 months in production. What exactly does that mean?

Seems either a typo or they will stop production half-way, take a break then continue.

So does that mean in July 2014, the 2-series will have an all-wheel drive featured? I was ready to order the BMW 228i but now wonder if I need to see if I can extend my lease to wait as I wanted all-wheel drive but the 3-series is too big for me. How soon after they starting making the car in production, will it be able to be ordered?

What does SULEV mean since my current car, BMW 128i SULEV is what shows up on my BMW invoice each month?

Looks like 2 Series xDrive production starts in July, yes. I don't think anyone has seen pricing or option details on the 2015 models, but since production is starting soon, I would imagine that you could ask your dealer if they have any July allocations and go from there.

My understanding is that BMWFS will extend your lease if you have a new car on order. Your best bet is probably to start a new thread in the 2 Series pricing/ordering forum as someone there might have more details.

SULEV stands for Super Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle.

Thank you bimmerbuff! I was told the 228xi will have the base price be $1800 higher than the base 228i without the X-Drive when I called BMW today. If I wanted the X-Drive in my car, I would have to have a contract signed for them to extend my lease so you are right.

So I have a Super Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle that I am currently driving since on my BMW invoice it says BMW 128i SULEV. Thank you!

Is there any possibility that we are going to have F20/21 for the north american market?

If I buy a 2014 228i model now with the navigation, I would have to pay to do updates? I am confused. Please clarify.

Well, I guess you would need to purchase the yearly updated Maps DVDs like before (if you want).

BMW unfortunately doesn't mention anything about updates for "older" cars...

Old thread but was looking at the MY2015 schedule. If F36 GC states EOP is June 2015, does that mean they will be producing the cars upto and including the month of June? If so, is it assumed that US/Canada will be getting allocations? Not sure if anyone would know the answer.
