It's a gas

BP
Sunoco
Sheetz
GetGo
Exxon

I don't really care who refines my gas, as long as the octane is OK. The stations are the ones most convenient between home and work, and are largely determined by the side of the road upon which I am driving.

You guys listen to rumors too much
It is true that all gas in a given city comes from virtually the same place, but each brand adds its own detergents and other additives to the gasoline. Chevron uses Techron, Amoco has its own additives, etc. Plus, some stations will sometimes sell lower octane gas as premium as it is virtually impossible to tell the difference in most cars.

You could get lower octane gas in your E90 and never know it, as the computer just adjusts the timing and air/fuel ratio to adjust for it. But if I get even slightly lower octane fuel in my Mustang I get detonation because of the supercharger pushing 15psi into the engine.

76 because that's who I have an acct. with. If that's not available then I go Chevron. Very seldom do I use Shell.

For rental cars, I always go ARCO or the cheapest that I can find.
