I use Imgur to store my pics, it's free easy and tells me how many views the picture has had, however some of my private pics which I haven't posted keep getting the odd view, how is this possible?

Privacy doesn't truly exist on a lot of these sites. The only way to be completely sure your images are private is to keep them on your local pc, and encrypt the folder they're in, if you want to go that far

Some of the pic's I don't want the wife to see and some are of the wife which I don't want anyone to see!!

I have them as private but they are getting 1 or 2 views a day, how is this possible?

Could it be counting your views? Why don't you test that? If it has views when you've not looked yourself, change your password to a complex, highly secure password to see if that fixes it. If so, then a relative has probably been snooping and you need to call a divorce lawyer.

If you have a highly secure password and you're certain that no one has broken it, then contact the provider. They should be able to tell where the views are coming from and help you stop the intrusion.

No they don't, I just checked.

And if someone hacked into my account the view wouldnt therefore count as the site would think it is me?

It's weird I've googled it and cant find anything?

I just dont get it? if I post a pic from Imgur I can't even click on it, it doesnt do anything or link it to my account.

I tried doing that and I couldnt track it back, I don't see how it can be done?

You get the ULR but not the Imgur user name.

I use Onedrive, that way I have a local copy and a cloud backup and can access them everywhere. For anything I don't want anyone to see, I simply zip them with a password. Not overly secure, but combined with the fact that (in theory) you'd need my MS login to view my Onedrive, it's enough for me.

I asked the question on the Imgur forum and found out that the Mod's can see all pic's so this must be the reason why the views increase slowly.
I'm fine with the Mod police checking the pic's they are probably all shocked at the content and shield their eyes!!
