Samsung Galaxy Note 7
I thought that was a joke or some prank that is intended to tarnish the brand because as a major electronics giant , Samsung, should have not made such a big flop for their products . To escalate the things it is on the flagship phone that's called Samsung Note 7
Before giving you more details on this considering you're not aware of ,I think Samsung should supply these phones with the fire extinguisher as well ![]() ![]() ![]() Seriously though,I was contemplating to buying this phone but I decided to not buy it ![]() http://www.phonearena.com/news/Six-y...s-hand_id85305 http://www.androidauthority.com/sams...note-7-715862/

"Luckily for the child, he was able to return home although he is now afraid of going near any phones."

This is what happen when you rush things to market, they were more concern about trying to new products to market as fast as possible that testing and qualification suffer. Testing takes time and you can not compress times, and not all problems can be found by accelerating other factors. This is not the first issue like this Samsung or other companies have had. The latest phones are supposed to be water resistant or water proof and a number of different companies have tested them and they have failed displays not working or the audio out stops working completely.

I upgraded from a galaxy 5 to a Note 7 almost 3 weeks ago. Love it and I am not worried about it exploding nor am I going to get rid of it. I'll likely go ahead and do the exchange (might as well get an updated device) but I think when you look at how many devices are in circulation and the number of issues, it really is miniscule. Seems like the whole damn world over reacts whenever something like this happens. |

There have been other smart phones that caught on fire or exploded. If you work in the electronics/supplier field, things can happen. You can go into pre-production with no issues and then in production problems start to happen. You'd be surprised companies run their products "way" beyond spec because "it worked before." It might just be a bad lot/batch and the others are fine. Samsung and the supplier are probably isolating the issue/root cause. With that said, big companies put a lot of pressure on suppliers even if the product/component is not ready to push out their product especially a flagship product out on time. So many hands are involved in putting out a product. As a result, it looks it could cost Samsung billions. They already lost billions from poor sales of their Galaxy line.

I personally been involved product failures like this and most time it is not related to poor design but because something changed in the process. In the case of Samsung, they most likely created this problem because they are rushing things and the process went out of control. |
