Hello! Just recently obtained my Physical Therapy Licensure for Oregon. any suburb, small town close to Portland thats nice to live in? Will probably rent an apartment.

Find out the location of your job exactly, then find a place to live. The traffic is horrendous, probably the only city that in some places that has two lanes each way on I-5 (aka the 5). I would also take into consideration the hours that you will work. Try not to work on Fridays. Stay on the same side of your work so you don't have to go across bridges.

Bonus: no sales taxes, just state income taxes.

Great place to live in is Beaverton. Depending on where you live in Beaverton a drive downtown would take about 15 to 20 minutes and add an additional 30 minutes if there is traffic.

Rent has gone up a lot within the last couple of years, if you are planning to live here for awhile I would suggest buying now if you are considering long term.

The Portland metro area is a great place to live, and you will find the culture here to be very pleasant. I hope you enjoy it!

They have stupid progressive zoning/planning laws that prohibit people from building homes on anything bigger than a postage stamp and force a maximum number of people into a minimum space

We could go on and on about the failures/idiocy of Oregon but there's a reason why its bottom of the barrel in personal freedom ranking of states
