Quick trip to London - looking for suggestions
I'll be in London this weekend, specifically Twickenham area for the most part.
For those from the UK, any suggestions for places to check out? Looking for decent pints, Fish & Chips and good coffee. I'm limited with times as Ill be at the NFL game on Sunday and setup for a few hours on Sat. And go...

Good time to go. The pound is down to around 1.20 or so.

hey dude, born and bred there (London),
lived near twickenham, Wimbledon Common _ where the wombles lived NPL (National Physical labortory - where Barnes Wallis made the bouncing bomb, might do tours not sure) Lot of decent F&C shops all over Mongolian BBQ - get the food cooked yourself, choose the meat and sauces Kew Gardens is a short bus ride/car drive away Should have a lot of pub's (can't name any though) Gun's are illegal, and so are drugs sorry LOLZ Heathrow Airport has a good viewing lounge get to the Royal Airforce Museum at Hendon; you'll love that. I thought the Tower was really cool. I spent an entire week drifting around the city on the wings of my tube pass.

Thanks for all of the recommendations. Super short trip, but my first time to London (Europe actually) and had a great time. I'll definitely return soon hopefully.
Twickenham stadium is quite impressive, especially compared to LA Coliseum. It was great watching the Giants v Rams on the sidelines in London. British hospitality there is really nice and loved all the questions about American football we got from the locals everywhere we went. - Got my fill of Brit food: Fish & Chips, Bangers and Mash, Shepherds Pie, plenty of pints and cheap whisky (compared to US prices) - Friday hit up The Cabbage Patch in town walked around Twickenham for a bit then hit up Richmond upon Thames for some pub action: The Old Ship and The Pig's Ears - Typical tourist stuff in Saturday in London: Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, SoHo, Chinatown for Dim Sum, Regent St - Sunday had a few hours to spare before my flight so I went over to Kew Gardens and had lunch at The Botanist (I recommend it highly) for a proper pint and food

Very cool. Glad you had a good time.
And isn't it odd that whisky is so cheap there? I found that as well. Same thing on the cruise ships. Just $5 or $6 bucks for a glass that would run $20 in NYC.

I'm not a local, but Ship tavern in Central London is a nice pub, its been there awhile too. Good location, plenty of places to eat nearby if you don't want the pub food which is actually pretty good there.
If you go back..... |

Really odd. Japanese whiskies were cheaper there as well.
