Z4M interior is sooo nice
I went to BMW dealer this weekend and saw the new Z4M. Awesome looking car. The interior was most impressive. The ultra-thick M steering wheel and the M sport seat. I was totally blown away with the carbon leather trim; so unique and custom look. The overall fit-and-finish and material quality seem far above the current E90.
I was waiting for E92 coupe but after seeing this, I might have to wait for the Z4 coupe. I think Z4 coupe will look far better than the E92 coupe. Of course, it will be 2 less seats but it won't matter |

I agree, that's a nice interior. Reality check, just wait until you get married. Then you can say goodbye to that nice 2-seater. I'm waiting 15 years and then I'll get my 2 seater M6 convertible, the kids will be out the door.

Considering Z4M coupe is about $2,700 cheaper than Z4M roadster (per British BMW website), the Z4M coupe will start below $50K in USA when it arrive here in this summer. The current Z4M roadster starts at $51,300, so the Z4M should start at high $40k.
Since well-equipped E90 costs high $40k, I think the new Z4M coupe with 330hp M engine with all the goodies at high $40k is an awesome deal...if you can live with only 2 seaters that is. I'm sure the new E92 M3 will start near $60K due to its V8 engine, so this Z4M coupe could well be my next car. The sales manager said they have already receive several orders already, so I should move quickly too. The new Z4M coupe will have 11.9 cubic feet of cargo space, which is amazing for this kind of car. For comparison, the G35 coupe only has 7.8 cubic feet. Can't wait to see the Z4 coupe in person, but I'm sure it will be a gorgeous car. Even the non-M Z4 coupe should be a very nice car at around $40K. I'm married with one baby but I have another full-size SUV, so 2 seater is OK. |

How does the Nav work on this car? Is it like iDrive sytem or the one like in the X3?

Why is it that you can't get iDrive for the Z4? That's kinda of strange.

Heres a link to some of my shots of the Z4M roadster I took at the auto-show a few weeks ago. Beautiful car - this one has no nav.

Z4 interior has a different take on Carbon Fiber fabric application and it looks sophisticated in good taste, not to mention the sporty appeal.

The Nav on new Z4M IS NOT iDRIVE. Thanks God. I'm not sure how the Nav functions work without iDRIVE jog but I didn't see any iDRIVE thing on the Nav equipped Z4M. I'm not going to get Nav on my Z4M, so it won't matter.
I did back-to-back comparison of the interior fit-and-finish and material quality to the E90 that was also in the showroom. No comparison. The E90's interior look so plain and unsporty compared to Z4M. Then there was also E46 330ci with ZHP in the showroom and its interior still look stunning after all these years......putting the shame on the new boring interior of E90. The Z4 coupe (in either M or non-M version) will be a killer car. No question about it. It will be a serious competition to the Porsche Cayman that cost $10sK more. The coupe has timeless classic shape. It could be the best looking and best driving (also best value) BMW we've seen in a long time. |

I wonder why people hate iDrive so much. I'd never get another BMW without iDrive. The interior looks so much better with iDrive and it is very easy to use.

To me, it's not matter of how difficult or easy it is to learn or use. I make my living designing high-tech devices far more complicated than iDRIVE, so I'm sure I can learn to iDRIVE in no time. I just think that iDRIVE is a why-tech solution to a problem that nobody asked BMW to fix. I like well-designed buttons with good feedback everytime you push them... and to me, it is one of the joy of owning high-quality German car. Also designing controls and buttons in a car is what gives its interior a real character. If all car companies (including cheapest brand) are using iDRIVE-like device (big screen and one control knob) to control everything, then all cars' interior will look alike. What's point of that? |

The Z4 rdstr. and coupe is an awesome car alone. I actually like it better than the Boxster/Cayman. Know why? My legs have room to roam. LoL. Anyways, I'd better re-learn stick again so I can give this sucker a go sometime. On top of that gotta love the M3 3.2 I6. Stick an Eisenmann racing exhuast(the racing exhaust for the E46 M3 is INCREDIBLE!!!!) and you'll truly set this world on fire. As a matter of fact I'd take one in Titan Silver w/ Imola Red leather and Titan trim(unless this Carbon black leather really is this shiz), stick some BBS rims on there of some kind. O yeh... even Bella would come hither... |

I have an 04 Z4 and E90, the build quality is better on my german built car, and the paint is better too.
if you can justify the Z though, by all means do it, it's a fun little car |

I went to my dealer today, and got the price list for Z4 M coupe. MSRP $49300, $2000 cheaper than the roadster. They taking orders in June and delivery should be in July. the Imola Red is an awesome colour, as is the interlagos Blue. The coupe has beautiful lines. The fastback look is my favorite look for a coupe. This just fits in my budget, all I have to do is convince my father that 2 seats are better than 5!

Nope, purchased it. I originally wanted a Z4 but thought it was too impractical. Now I realize that the only person who drives the car is me and occasionally my mom/dad. What do I need a sedan for? I didnt want to wait for the coupe (2 years of waiting). I will either get a 3 series coupe or the Z4M coupe. |

That's my thing. I kinda like having four doors even though I only use the two fronts. So it might make sense for me to end up w/ a coupe next, but that would mean less space for gear and what not, not that I carry around a lot to begin w/. I just like the added versatility, knowing its there if I need it. I know I'm not a roadster guy for sure though, but if that's what you like, great. Coupes are better.
