"The Collection of BMW Legends"
Any takers??! There are some really unique, beautiful models. If only I could win the lottery.

Wow. They've really saved me the time and effort to research and find them all in such great condition myself. So glad I held off until this moment. Now if only I had a Christmas tree big enough...

Minus the $500,000 for the M1. You're essentially paying up to $150,000 per car. It's just not worth it. I'd rather spend the time buying each car individually for way less. Oh, and in the colors I wanted. For things like the M1 and M5, I'd rather pay for full nut and bolt restos and essentially have brand new cars for those prices.
PS: There's no E60 M5. Fail. From a business standpoint. They know what they are doing though. Someone will very likely pay it.

The people that can afford this are usually the kind of people that have plenty of "fuck you" money anyways.
Soooooooo, it won't be me :P

Is that what they are asking for the M1? If so that’s a bargain as one sold for $850k a few months back (not from EAG). I thought they would be asking at least $1M for it.
Regarding the e60 M5, be glad they aren’t including one as they refuse to change out rod bearings. Matter of fact, same for the e9x M3’s they sell; all original rod bearings. You would think for their ‘10 year rejuvenated maintenance’ that they would change them out but I guess not. |

EAG is well-known among enthusiasts for their ridiculous prices. Their cars are always pristine but they count on the well-heeled but gullible buyer to come along.
When this "collection" was mentioned on Jalopnik (sometime in the summer), a poster said he bears such high disdain for EAG because of their business practices that when they tried to buy his pristine E39 M5, he decided to sell it privately instead for less than they were offering.

Exactly. Charge a super premium, do right and change out the bearings. I’ve mentioned this before on this forum that they bragged about an $11k invoice on a Z4 M:
All wheels refinished/New tires all around Inspection II Service All fluids New belts Power steering line New windshield Front and rear bumpers ‘reconditioned’ I could maybe see $5k tops for the above work at any reputable indy shop. Tell them to keep the z4 (it’s a chick car anyway). Quote:

The amount of people in this thread that don't understand sarcasm is surprising.
@F30zlol That invoice is laughable. We're not even talking about a Ferrari or Lamborghini here, in which cases I've seen less charged by shops I know for the same work.

The invoice looks bogus and doesn't even make sense. The numbers in the "totals box" pasted in the lower right corner don't appear above and there is nothing that adds up to those numbers. If it isn't bogus it is missing a majority of the detail.

I’m sorry but a Indy shop should never be more compared to a dealer (except when a dealer has specials). But people buy from them and get their cars serviced from them so unless that changes, they’ll keep prevailing. |
