The 540d is gone for good . I hope that the X3 and X5 will have a diesel option.

I certainly hope they still do release diesels for those too! We just extended our 2015 BMW X5d for now till spring until new X5 diesel comes hopefully.

Does the 20 month life of the 2019 i8 mean that it's new design or EOL is imminent?

Is the F87 EOP same as F22? (It doesn't seem to be on the chart)

Also, if EOP is 2/19, Does that mean SOP MY2020 is going to be earlier than 7/19? (I'm trying to do an ED in May 2019 so I want to know if that's doable)

There is a row for the F87 in the table, but it is blacked out, giving it the same appearance as the rows used for headers with the model names on them. This might have been done intentionally, although you would think it would simply be left off entirely instead. Either way, it means we don't have the MY2019 EOP date for the F87 yet.

MY2020 will start the month following EOP MY2019 barring any gap in production (which would be a very rare event). So if turns out that the MY2019 F87 ends with the MY2019 F22, you might indeed be able to get an MY2020 M2 for your ED.

I'm curious about this as well. Will there be a 2020 MY M4?

Like I said in an earlier post in this thread, this is probably just to get all 4/M4 starting at the same time for MY2020.

Yes. Model years end at different times of the year depending on a number of factors. An early end to a model year is not a signal that a model is ending production for good.

The base model and Competition package will no doubt remain the same. Any tweaks will be minor and would more than likely be limited to perhaps making more equipment standard or changing content bundling.

There is a chance for some limited run special edition model(s) with exclusive cosmetic features. There is also a tiny chance for a CSL model to succeed the CS, but I would not necessarily bank on that - it is more likely going to show up as a G8x generation product instead. And if it were to come, expect it to have a GTS-like MSRP.

Perhaps the M4 Competition (like what they are doing with the M2?)
That's a semantic change that will take effect with the G8x M3/M4. Don't expect the current M4 to change from the existing ZCP packaging.

2019 Diesel info ????

If it is out there already and I missed it, I'm apologizing up front.

Is there any information/indication that there will be diesel options in the 2019 G-20 3series (sedan) that is going to be heading to the US?
I realize that there should be more "official" information coming out at the Paris show next week, however, is there any word out there now?

The first thing to be aware of is that a US bound G20 diesel was never going to be an MY2019 product to begin with. You can learn about future product information in this thread:

https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=901686

Which is sticky-d in the same section as the present thread.

The second thing to be aware of is that BMW has publically said that they are backing away from diesels in the US, with an X5 diesel the only product for which they currently keep the door (just barely) open. You can learn about that in this thread:

https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1534429

Which is not sticky-d but is present in this forum with replies recent enough to keep it near the top of the thread list.

So then, in short, a G20 330d is definitely not coming soon, and most probably, it is never coming at all.

Thanks for the detailed/referenced response. It is appreciated, but sadly noted.
Thanks again for getting back to me with this.
I was strongly considering going from my 2014 328-D xdr to the new 2019 G20. But since I am a strong advocate for the diesel version, I might have to reconsider it all.
