A few thousand? Heck no, Rolls Royce had a banner, record setting year in 2007. They sold 1,010 cars. It was their first time into the "four digits" apparently!

In 2006, Ferrari sold 5,700 cars world wide.

I'm not finding profit numbers for either company that easily at the moment (not trying that hard either.)** But when you sell just 1,010 cars in a year, you are pretty limited on how much profit your brand can generate. Even if we say they cost $400,000 each, that is only $400 million in annual sales. In comparison, Toyota does that in about 17 HOURS!

**RR is owned by BMW, but I haven't looked at BMW's financial statement to see if they break out RR profits. I just don't care that much at the moment....

I knew either Rolls, Ferrari or Lambo was around 6k annual sales and couldn't be arsed to look it up so I over-estimated so some internet wise ass didn't come back with a "THEY SELL XXX CARS NOOB" post. Guess I over estimated too much. It's cool though, glad someone brought the actual number up.

Wise ass? Nah, I'm a jack ass, not a wise ass! Actually, my wife says I'm an asshole. I wear that like a badge of honor!!

PS - we've been married for over 11 years. So it is true, chicks dig assholes!
