Please don't get my intentions wrong, I'd love to see AA in my MY19 G30. Unfortunately, it likely won't ever happen. BMW has close to zero incentive to backport tech to older cars. Certainly not using the methodology they've used over the past many many years.

I certainly will. My car is still just a piece of paper (on order), but as soon as it appears, I will update this thread.
I am not confident AA will be integrated. I am just hoping it will. It is not a show stopper for me.

As a data point, the 3/4 series price lists from mid-July mention Android Auto, whereas the same mid-2020 X1 price list does not. Could be that BMW integrates that at a later date, but due to no Remote Software Upgrade on the X1, it very likely won't be possible to get it retroactively, at least officially via BMW.

Well we can see if Supra gets AA... is i6 sticking around for long? I thought BMW usually like to move all in one
