Any recommendations on a pressure washer?
Finally moving from an apartment to a house.
And that means shopping for a pressure washer! I'm like a kid in a candy store! Anyone have any recommendations, currently looking at a nilfisk e145

I just bought a Sun Joe SPX3000. I have a Karcher that I use for major work but it's a hassle to drag out and fire up. I'm planning on using the Sun Joe for washing the car, patio furniture, etc. My neighbor has one and likes it. At $130 and good reviews on Amazon it's hard to go wrong. Also bought a Matcc foam cannon for the car as well.

I'm using the Karcher K5, but apparently the K1700 is just as good for half the price.
Sunjoes are popular, Kranzle seem to be industry leading as they're made for commercial use really. Also the most expensive. Looking at the 7/122 TS myself... |

This is the one I use. https://www.yamahamotorsports.com/pr.../models/pw3028
For water filtration so you do not have to worry about drying fast to avoid water spots--- https://crspotless.com/product/dic-2...olling-system/ With a good pressure washer use the Foam Gun--unbelievable. I use several quick release fittings so I can rapidly change product foam gun to wand around and even not use the deionized water for washing/soap just use it for rinse.

Is the Champion 3200 PSI Gas Pressure Washer any good? https://www.championpowerequipment.c...essure-washer/
Can get one 1/2 off but want to be sure it's worth it. Ideally would prefer electric to gas powered. What are the gold standards for pressure washers, or even the recommended features that are a must? Is there a must have one to get? |

I just bought the Active VE52 pressure washer with one of the modification kits from Obsessed Garage. I'll try it out later today.

I bought a hodge podge of stuff for pressure washing off Amazon. big mistake especially when new to this stuff and trying to get all things to fit when sizing can be different depending on brands. adapters/no adapters. quick connectors. swivel/no swivel. lots to consider...
I heard about Obsessed Garage in another thread and just purchased a package with stuff that just works together. Matt really has this stuff down to a science and applicable to our detailing needs. |

Kranzle is the gold standard, but is really is not for house chores. If you want a dedicated car wash machine and light duty cleaning and don't want to replace it every few years you can look at these. Axial pumps are the cheapest, triplex are much better and usually found on high end and high PSI units. Although Kranzle uses a wobble pump it is well built. Most Karcher, SunJoe, AR and the like use axial pumps for non-commercial units which generally are throw away when they fail.

The Wirecutter pick is the Ryobi RY142300 - seems nicer than the Sun Joe for someone who really just wants it for car washes and light work. Anyone have one?

Look at www.obsessedgarage.com for the high end and the lower end models. Best part is the packages which put all the hoses, fittings, etc together so it works better than stock.

I've tried the sunjoe 3k, karcher cube, and comet 1700. there's really no useful difference between the sunjoe and the karcher to me--in fact, I liked the sunjoe more.
the comet's never leaving my setup. it's probably the bottom of the nicer electric pressure washers and it's just about perfect for my use. major tip: get something with either no hose reel, or one you can replace. options, while pricey, make life better. a sunjoe with a good reel, good hose (looking at you, cobrajet), and good wand all thrown together with good quickconnects will be a lot more enjoyable to use than something like a factory stock comet or arblue. I know it's odd to say, but the pump is definitely not the most important part of the chain
