The Z8 is definitely one of, if not the most beautiful BMW's of all time. A fantastic recreation of the classic 507. I prefer the regular model over the Alpina though mainly due to the superior manual transmission. A year ago I was fortunate enough to get a little drive in this beauty

Pluck out the S62 M motor and stick-shift drop in a M62 regular ass BMW motor with a crap slush box and boom - Alpina Z8. My dentist had one - it was a dog.

I don't get the Z8. Was a huge cockup when it was released and remains so today. Z4m is sublime by comparison. Lots of interesting cars by BMW but the Z8 indecision machine isn't one of them IMO.

Let the fools use it as a collector. It will keep them away from better kit.
