Carbon Black - PPF and ceramic coat results
Four week old car went in for PPF and ceramic coating. Car was gone for 7 days but I was lucky to get in with the premier PPF guy here in Melbourne who normally only does hypercars and exotics (he had 2 x GT Black Series AMGs there when I picked it up).
Really endorse the posts on here who said pick your PPF installer first, then worry about price. Every piece hand cut and installed wrapped around the panel edges. No joins or pre-cut edges to collect dirt. Front bumper black parts all done with no noticeable ends or cuts. Cost 40% more than the shop that pre-cuts the template and gets the apprentice to install - worth the extra every time. Ceramic is Anglewax which looks good for a daily use car. Really pleased with the job and will make a big difference on time & effort for weekly detailing. |

Australian price probably won't compare easily with the difference price options across the US. For Aus it was at the top end of what any installer will charge - 40-50% higher than the template cut out installers. Paying for custom cut, wrap around panel edges and the go to installer for every hyper car & exotic in the country.
