I suppose on some level it may have created some micro scratches that you only see in very particular lighting conditions and viewing angles but certainly nothing of concern or even noticeable.

I'm not a fan of cotton "dusters" since I try to use only good quality microfiber, but I believe most people who buy a California duster don't know how to use them correctly. They're only good for taking light dust off the vehicle, not dirt....and only in shade when the paint surface is cool & dry, shaking the the brush off frequently.

Nope, I'm more of a hand wash guy myself, but for light dust, I just use my electric leaf blower. Works well removing water droplets too!

Of course the neighbors think I'm crazy....
