Unfortunately, an accident occurred in my garage where the overhead door was shut with the rear hatch still open and they caught each other
I'm hoping for some advice on how to fix this. It's small, but seems deep. I've found some touch up kits on Amazon but not sure how good they are. Perhaps its something a body shop should do? Color is carbon black. |

For the paint, it's hard to tell if the damage goes down to the paint or if it's just the clear that is damaged. If the damage is only clear coat related it can surely be fixed. If I had to guess from looking I'd say it didn't get to the paint. Id hand polish first, probably going to need a few passes to see if any progress can be made. You may need a polisher to cut down enough clear coat to get the look you want. I've seen worse issues corrected by a polisher. You may need a matchstick worth of touch up paint to bring it all the way home. Depends on how effective polish is on the area. Good luck and post a pic after it's repaired since I'm curious now…. |
