We got roped into scheduling Cilajet treatment when we picked up our new X5. After doing some quick research it looks like we got scammed and that it's not worth it. Should we just chalk this up as an $800 mistake? Or should we let them do it since we've paid for it? What would you do?

Cilajet was applied to mine while we waited for delivery. Took about two hours. I still don't believe this service was done. When I raised this with my dealership, they claimed they did. I still can't be convinced.

How can I tell if this "was" done? Btw, this was a Central Florida dealership.

I don't think its worth $800, but if you've already paid for it, why not go ahead and have it done? What's the downside?

My dealer refunded me once I researched and realized it was a scam. They sent a check within a couple weeks.
