Are there any cheap options with a good anti-reflective coating on the back of the lenses? I find this to be the main thing missing from any cheap set off the online stores or the gas station

Get a blank frame, and send them to Fuse lens, they will custom install any lens color and option you like. I was even able to send them some Oakley frames I bought decades ago, that really fit snug inside my orbits, for when I ride my motorcycle, and the wind doesn't blow out my contacts.

Costa are also great around water, but again polarized only.

Serengeti is no longer owned by Corning. So, many of their models are not glass lenses. Not that that's a bad thing, but if a person is looking for corning glass sunglasses, it's important to read the description of the specific model.

I bought a pair of B.N.U.S with Corning glass. They are fine but frankly, I couldn't tell the difference in clarity from Maui Jims or Oakleys.

good point. Some Serengetis now are polycarb or some kind of plastic.

And Corning or not probably doesn't matter so much as the quality in general. Someone mentioned Randolph above. They also have great glass lenses.

Disagree, Ray Bans with the green lenses beat them all and have just the right glare protection not to be too dark.

I tried green lenses once and couldn't cope with them. The brown/reddish lenses are my favs, although they make things look way more colorful than they are. I once went with gray lenses thinking they'd be more neutral, but I'm back to my brown/reddish ones again.

Dark lenses are getting hard to find. Wifey's eyes are super sensitive to light, but she's had a hard time finding seriously dark glasses that don't look like welding goggles.

I had two pairs of Oakleys (one a super expensive limited edition carbon fibre frame) with scratched up lenses I couldn’t wear. I have been going back and forth on Oakley’s website agonizing over paying 300+ dollars for 2 sets of lenses for them….

I just pulled the trigger on two pairs there, at 1/4 of the price!!!! So excited.

The more recent frames you can just order lens. The orbit-fitting ones were so old they didn't have any identifiable markings on the frame, other than the O. Those I sent in, I think it was an extra $20. For my Oil Cans, I simply order another set and they ship them out. Soak a frame in a little warm water, pop out the old, snap in the new, and I'm ready for another day at the beach!

I use goodr sunglasses when wearing my contact lenses.. they're cheap enough to not care too much about. They come in all kinds of weird shapes and sizes too.
