Doing PCD and need ideas for keeping car protected
Doing the PCD option and getting the M3 in a few weeks. I'll be driving it back to NY and wanted some ideas of how to help protect the car on the trip. Plan is to wrap the high impact areas with the xpel temp
Film but was also wondering about interior. Should I bring something to help protect the KO full leather interior and seats. Thanks for any ideas. |

If it snows plan is taking pickup down and getting a uhaul trailer. If not the drive back will be fun and it will put enough miles for 1200 mile service. I have a place doing stealth wrap back in NY.

Did something similar a year ago (to northern Michigan). I did TrakWrap on the rocker panels -- that's it -- and watched my following distances. Once we reached home, I applied ceramic coating to the leather and had winter tires mounted. PPF installation was delayed a month, but that was another story.
Your interior will be fine for the trip home, unless you want to add OEM rubber floor liners at the 'port' to protect your carpet and velour mats from wet/messy shoes. And avoid wearing dark jeans for the return trip, in order to avoid dye transfer before you get the seats coated ... or just coat them at PCD, since application is easy and drying time is short. |
