If it's just "3d" instead of "2d" box control then the dimmed lower border makes it harder to tell where the qoute ends and the comment begins.

I use no explicit ad suppressor (just a browser) and (thus? ) have no advertisements. A VPN (coming from a poor country) should help. It's like a rich foreign Santa visiting poor, starving African children: "-So how do you behave? Do you eat well? -No we don't. We barely eat at all. Give us the gifts! -I've no gifts for (mischievous) ones who don't eat!"

Modern software is crap. I really doubt if updating applications is worth it: they might introduce more bugs than they fix (appreciate the next day updates ) and their new "quirks and features" are explicit crap. Say, since BMW's "Driver's Guide" started requiring authentication I just don't use it anymore.
