The public at large may never know the rationale for how BMW decides to launch new products. XM is clearly a product which tests the comfort envelope of BMW enthusiasts - whether by intentionally or by accident. The sales statistics are self evident. The new G90 M5 hasn't departed the comfort envelope by a wide mile, ignoring the weight and other early disappointments. Again, best to wait for the sales statistics.

Is this thing a plugin hybrid also?
Still can’t believe the legendary M5 is getting this shit show. The car will be the slowest barge on the planet with all that weight and you’ve used the 20 odd miles of range. What are they thinking?

This thing is indeed a plug in hybrid. It's going to be insane acceleration. Insane. Gone are the days of that whee bit of lag when mashing pedal.

I am with you on that one. The first M5 Wagon in a long time, and we get a overweight half assed hybrid car. Don't get me wrong, its still most likely going to be a good car, but not the car we enthusiasts wanted. |
