Terrible.

Just terrible.

But the atrocities continue.

Im hoping they offer some other wheel options, because none of the g90 wheels to me are that great.

On the flip side, I have seen some renderings of a real G90 dropped a little with some aftermarket wheels, and it looked awesome. Probably one of the better cars out there to put aftermarket wheels on and slightly lowered.

For me its rare to go with aftermarket wheels, they have to be really good, and fit the car well, some of the higher end options tend to look good, but I like a stock wheel as long as its decent and not 200lbs. But the g90 is a car I would most likely have to put some HRE or BBS or something on to look better.

Have to say time will tell... However, I dont see ICE going completely away any time soon.

Mark my words and we can revisit in 2030, lol, but there is almost zero chance of any states actually moving fully adopting an ICE ban by 2030.

I know thats the catch phrase for government propaganda, but they're just pandering to the climate folks.

Yes I know there is legislation and things passed for this, but the chances of it being reality by 2030 are very very slim.

What the government doesn't tell you is they WANT fossil fuel to continue. There is WAAAAYYY too much money and power on the line for ICE to be banned completely.

And yes, im aware of all the talking heads and what they say, but reality will be different as youre already starting to see.

The only people who actually believe this nonsense is are the folks who took the bait and bought their EV's.

Will there be more EVs? Yes of course. Absolutely there will be. There will be some manufactures who stop making ICE, and there will be some who stop making certain models with ICE. There will also be OEMs who dial back their EV plans.... But the chances of ALL manufactures, and ALL new vehicle sales being strictly ICE by 2030 are minuscule at best.

It's always fun to hear folks in California or EU spout this stuff, as if the rest of the world revolves around them.

Cali folks always act like since they're the most populated state they run the world, and no one would ever risk losing California business. But the same could be said for Texas, which is smaller yes, but still 31 million people vs 38million estimated (and shrinking estimates, was 39million in 2020). Texas gained 1.5million people from 2020 to 2023, while California lost 600k, wont take long (if that trend continues) for Texas to take that spot over. And then "they wont want to not sell cars in Texas".

Regardless what the media tells us, corporations want money. As much of it as they can get. Anyway they can get it. And currently OEMs are losing their ass with the EV agenda (with the exception of a few, ie Tesla). They don't give a rats ass about the environment. They care about money and power. If EVs get them that, then they'll continue. If they see ICE being the way? Then that is what will continue. Regardless of what talking heads in DC say. The laws that get passed are based on how much money they donate and to who. Its that simple.

I think if the rear-side windows were larger with a lower bottom edge it would make the profile appear more sleek and sporty.
agree that back end/corner near the tail light looks very bulbous to me. Would need to see in person , but to me, it just looks way too chunky and bloated. Which I guess it kind of is... LOL.

May be an unpopular opinion, but I think the sedan looks much much better.

Their explanation is that there's charging port this time and went for minimal look. Using design features that have a function. I like it actually as these fake wents, who has no intention other than that be more "sporty" and tacky.

So no, a full electric M5 wouldn't be heavier than hybrid M5, it would actually be much lighter.
- 'All' Car manufacturers aren't back-tracking their EV Plans at all. Ford, Benz, VW and GM overshot, so they're adjusting. BMW and many others didn't change any plans. Japanese companies on the other hand, they're re-adjusting their plans to manufacture more EVs.
- Next M5 will presumably be released around 2031. Most EU countries and some states in the US will outright ban ICE in 2030s, and none of them backtracked anything. So finally we won't be breathing exhaust gas all day every day. And BMW definitely won't make an M5 that they can't sell in Germany and California. Next M5 will definitely be on the nk platform, and it will definitely be full electric.

The way you put it together it seems you have some insider info or just well plugged into the media sources.

I’d mildly disagree that American automakers haven’t scaled back their ev roadmaps by a lot but I am not in a position to reveal inside information working in the industry myself.

Sure enough this was enlightening about bmw and it’s refreshing to be corrected for my predictions. Great info and take, thanks!

I'm so glad the wait is over!
Everyone in the US has been waiting for this and desperately wanting a ice/plug in performance suv with no ground clearance.

I think it looks great. I also think it’ll look a lot better in person. Those taillights give me M3 vibes. (In a good way).

Count me in (2nd or 3rd year Production). Aesthetically, my biggest concern is the lack of fender grilles but otherwise nice looking rig.

Yeah that sounds like BS considering Jose Casas did the same for the M2. His response was something along the lines of it not being needed. Well I couldn’t disagree more. Those grills adds so much to the design and aggressive nature of the car. Now it has the same side profile as a 530.
