Hi all,
my SA called me yesterday night with some great news - my car was scheduled to be delivered in January but seems like the heavens are on my side - my car actually entered production 3 days ago, expected delivery is early November.

IOMG on Kyalami orange

I managed to add the VIN to the MYBMW app and it looks great!

In the normal 5 forum, someone just posted pics of IOMG on the i5 M60 at a dealer in Canada. It's a sharp color on the 5 series.

Congrats! IOMG looks great on this, from the other few live examples pictured. I don't think I'll ever understand the peas & carrots combo with green and orange, though, but otherwise, fantastic.

Unfortunately there weren't many options for me to choose from - red would've been my go-to choice but I couldn't stop myself from getting the IOMG again - and red & green do not go with each other so it was either the orange or I change the exterior color.. not a fan of black interior either.

Completely fair. Black is "safe" but boring in this interior for sure, though it looks better with the wood trim option. Tartufo would've been a great match with IOMG, but yeah, like you said, not many options available.

That said, if it's not too late to change, I'd maybe have optioned black calipers instead of red, just to avoid the red+green winter holidays look (unless it's going to be a daily, in which case it'll at least be nice and festive for the end of the year!)

Unfortunately as I was told by my SA the car has already been shipped & en route.. so too late to change anything.
I kind of like the red calipers - bit of a sucker for color contrasts.
Will be sure to share pictures once it arrives.

Wow that is quick. What does the tracker say? What’s the current status it is in? It sounds like you should get your car next month or early November.

Scheduled to have one of the early cars. ETA is currently early November - my SA also expects the same.

Damn, you must have been one of the first on the production line. I've been sitting in the queue "Your order has been received, and we're making space in the production schedule." for about 3-weeks now. I assume mine might be delayed due to the Frozen Deep Grey paint.

I think other countries may have gotten allocations before thus US.

I think so yea. I even got the S999 code (Order Control First Dealer Cars) which i'm assuming means first batch
