Don’t get me wrong, I love modding my cars. But pushing more power through this drivetrain seems like an expensive endeavor.

I think there is a reason the XM Label, the M5, and the Porsche Panamera Turbo S e-Hybrid all make the same 738 ft lbs of torque (1,000 nm). All of these are using the same transmissions supplied by ZF, the 4th gen 8HP transmission with the EV motor integrated into it. The highest spec of this transmission is rated at 1,000nm of torque (I don’t think that is a coincidence). Torque, not necessarily power, kills transmissions so I would be nervous putting 15% more torque through the transmission.

The transmission and electric motor will likely only be sold as a complete assembly. That would get PRICEY.

Now I wonder how many tuned XM labels are running around and how they are holding up.

I agree that transmission is maxed out but they always keep room for transmission longeticity so i suspect they can handle around 1200nm easily wirh no short term issues
I think a decent amojnt if XM tuned and never heard of tuning/transmission issues on the forum
If you are planing to keep the car for many years then i understand but short term or 3 year use of the car will not cause any problems
