11 kWh vs 7.4 kWh
BMW indicated that the M5 would have 11 kWh charging available starting in November, versus the 7.4 that was promised at launch. I'm assuming this is a function of a software upgrade. Anyone got any idea how to find out which one is available in the car?

For those who have taken delivery, is it the standard J1772 port? Or is there the CCS port that has the extra couple “plugs” at the bottom?
I should take delivery tomorrow (production was last week of October) and I’ll be pretty disappointed if it doesn’t allow for 11 kw charging (I’ve got a Lvl 2 Tesla Wall Charger at home and am looking to order an adapter) |

What size breaker is the Tesla charger connected to, to charge at 11KW you would need a 60 amp breaker. |

As others have mentioned the PHEV only does AC charging, so it doesnt have a CCS-1 port…just the J1772, which is part of CCS-1, without the DC pins. Cheers!
