Yep plus gone are those Covid days and slow processes, now once you get the the order in and get the production number, you will get the vin# and then boom car is in the paint booth. That’s what happened to me. I went from production number to vin in less than a week, then in production status in days and then in quality check within two weeks.. so no chance to even change your standard color. Anyone suggesting you have all the time in the world to make changes doesn’t know and definitely have not put their g90 order in

I submitted my Touring build with an individual color.
I'm going to go with a standard interior option cause one of them works well with my (secret for now) color.

I've never done this with BMW so I was wondering if it is subject to approval and if there's a chance they might reject it, and if it will change/delay my production date if it is accepted?

On a side note this is the best money ever spent on a custom paint option ... Porsche PTS is now almost three times as much and you don't even want to know what Ferrari charge for colors.

I have submitted my order with exterior individual color (and silverstone interior) as well and have yet to hear back from BMW regarding approval or a production week. Have you heard back?

It can take up to a week to hear back in most cases.

So my order is in. When I log on to track it it shows all the correct options except it's black paint even though I ordered an individual paint. I'm being told that's normal at the beginning. Anyone have past experience how long it takes for the correct paint to show? Or is it one of those things where the system doesn't allow for individual colors and it will keep showing black paint the whole way through?

To answer my own question … ‘special order color’ showed up on my spec within a day. It doesn’t render the car on the page but it just shows under ‘your selected options’ and production number. Looks like it’s all good to go.

One more question … does the BMW tracker put date estimates for each milestone like the Porsche one does or does it only tell you whenever one has been reached?

I hadn't yet been assigned a production week. My special order color was approved and added to my build on 12/2. My order is status 102. I'm sure I'll get notified before end of next week as to where it landed in the production queue. I'm content to wait until next summer to receive.

What if you were already a May production week? Is it possible they are doing these Indv colors in batches and it would get moved to lump it together with others, even if that meant moving it up?
