Gorgeous car, but what is that rearview mirror with the nav screen in it? That's pretty cool, I've been looking at mirror dashcams, but this is extra cool.

Neat huh!

It attaches to your existing rear view mirror and has a built in screen with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Works amazing well, and was a scarcely believable AU$80 delivered on AliExpress.

It included a dash cam on the back but I didn’t need it so I removed it. Took a bit of elbow grease, but was able to remove it and disconnect the ribbon cable to the camera. Mirror doesn’t seem to care the camera is gone.

Digital rear view mirrors are becoming a lot more common. You can have a camera placed somewhere with better visibility so you can see in your blindspots.

Imagine having the same rear visibility out the back of a convertible with the roof up as when it's down. You can have a camera mounted somewhere that is able to see all around behind you, and display it up on the digital rearview mirror.

I'm not one who's all about tech everywhere, but some things like that have real tangible benefits.

I never said rear view cameras were an issue, i said why block my rearview mirror with car play? It should be the ... you know.... REAR VIEW only because it's a ... REAR VIEW mirror. Having the full suite of apps and other distracting shit in your rear view mirror is asinine, no idea how it's legal.

I get what you're saying. Certainly having like Netflix or TikTok going in the mirror would be a bad thing, but having like, nav or something like that would be better than it being on someone's phone, or carplay'd down to a screen low.

That said, I would personally always leave the rear camera on the rearview mirror. Your side mirrors are of way more value than rear view mirror anyways.

To give a frame of reference, you drive through the wash bay to get to the detached 4 car garage. (there is a 2 car attached garage in front .....also a warehouse for overflow)

Wash bay has a storage room with cabinets ...a boom pole that you can walk around the car with for washing that is attached to a pressure washer inside the storage room. Also an awning that you can lower to block out the sun.

I situated the detached garage so I could see my cars from other areas of the house. I dreamt of this set up for many years and was finally fortunate enough to build this place a couple years ago.

Damn that is all so fucking classy, all of it. The garage, the cars, the gardens. the lawn, the whole thing. Kudos. Having slight nervous tick about all the lawn edging that needs to be done but I am guessing you have someone sort that for you.

Very nice setup, indeed. No nothing in the garage but cars...how do you do that?
Not even a broom.

Her plate says Vegas but those magnolias say Texas. That much grass would be on the unique side for Clark County too.
