His mistake was to not come on here first and have a good look before taking the plunge with the new cyberTruck.

I never thought about the politics about it since I did it because made sense to my situation and wallet.
Definitely not for everyone especially if always on a rush. I travel the highway a lot for pleasure so I enjoy stopping and exploring

Transitioning to EV's involves more than just battery and motor production.

I do think EVs suit the needs of your avg consumer really well. But for people who cannot depend on charging at home it can be very difficult and add a lot of anxiety. An EV can work for you 95% of the time, but that 5% of the time it doesn't can completely ruin your day.

Also, EVs don't yet work for enthusiasts who value sound, shifting gears, light weight etc. However even most "enthusiasts" just think 0-60 = sports car. It's just a small contingent of us who really "get" it. We see a corner and think how we can let the car rip through it whereas the avg person gets afraid of a corner and just wants to floor it from a light. Even then, with long commutes and high gas prices, even the biggest die hards will eventually give in.
I never charge at home. It’s the location. No issue also I travel long trip a lot. 31,000 miles in a year and I do not commute to work. My work round-trip is 2 miles. Most of it is a long trip up and down California Nevada, Utah, Colorado not a national park so and also my car does the terms very well the 5M 60 is amazing. I’m not the one to go fast but if I want to, I can on this.

May be Tesla should included a pair of electric heated gloves with the truck

Most people living in areas like that already have gloves....

actually, if you keep reading, he posted a fallow up video and said it wasn't really an issue once you clear off the snow.

Isn't exactly the only car out there where you might have to wipe some snow off your headlights before driving.

Nope. EugeneBMW has identified a mission critical flaw that will cause Tesla to go bankrupt. It's all over for EVs in general because of this.

I wouldn't say it is a mission critical flaw since drivers don't need to see. They can use auto pilot . However if China made EV can import into American without 100% tariff, Tesla will definitely go bankrupt

I’m guessing autopilot on cameras only also don’t need headlights either in the night

I'm just thinking what sort of headlights are those, two inches high at the most and even without snow about seemingly as much use as two hand held torches.

Sounds like Musk is moving to Hydrogen. It'll put this threat in a new state.
