Speaking of Direct to Disc, I have three from Sheffield Lab. The technology was a real PITA for the performers.

No idea how they will turn out, but I'm in the process of getting a bunch of 8-track studio demo stuff my brother and I recorded with our band or just us in my 4-track basement studio, made into vinyl for both of us.
I'll probably only play it once or twice before doing something to display it

Went a little bonkers at Uncle Aldo’s Attic this morning. When some are in the $5-$8 range, it’s hard to pass up!

I’ve just ordered The Cure’s latest album on white vinyl.
It’s number 1 in the UK and their first number one album for 32 years! |

So I have a friend with one of those little suitcase type turntables from Target. I was asking him about it, and he commented that he was surprised I wasn't into vinyl. So I opened up eBay, set myself an arbitrary budget of $200 and started browsing...
I just got a Technics SL-Q200 for 99 cents. Seller was kinda salty when I met up with him, he was like "I was hoping to make some money on shipping." I wasn't about to pay $55 to have this thing shipped 15 miles, so after I convinced him to enable local pickup as an option, I bid... I was actually the only bidder. No clue if it works, seller gave the wrong power cable. So I've got another one on order and I'll find out soon if this thing works. I preemptively ordered a new cartridge for it too, so I'm actually closer to $50 for this thing... still though for the price of one of those little suitcase players I think I have a decent machine. |

Going through some of my dad's collection
TRIVIA: Alice Cooper's 1972 album "School's Out" was originally packaged with a pair of panties. This packaging was subsequently pulled from shelves, however, as it violated the Flammable Fabric Act. |

Visited Uncle Aldo’s Attic yesterday in search of Christmas music. Picked up a few other things, too. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

In a strange promotion for 2024, KFC Canada is offering limited edition Christmas chicken buckets with a vinyl record in the lid. From our local radio station conglomerate's web site:
