U.S. Spec G90 Limiter 1200 Miles

I've tried to search and can't find a clear answer. What exactly gets limited until 1200 miles? Will I notice a significant difference in performance and speed once the limiter is removed?

No power or speed limit.
At 1200 they change the oil and filter

Someone posted from the US stating their car would not rev past 5500, as they were not through break-in. I’ve only heard that once.

I’m not sure if you will notice a difference because I don’t think there are any factory limits, but make sure you do it close to 1,200 miles. M owners has had issues in the past with warranty coverage when the 1,200 mile service isn’t done timely.

The car is definitely limited. It says not to do full open throttle so I haven't done that but punching it moderately only gets the RPMs around 5000. It feels like the car is holding back.

It is not limited.
It is just asking to not pushing it hard during break-in period.

Yep not limited, It’s just that this car really doesn’t require to go past 5k to go fast. So if you don’t pin it and keep it pinned… it will shift early, seems more sensitive than before probably because the electric power propels it super fast

Just picked up my car from Break in service. Anyone know how to properly use the boost feature?

It is useful if you are in comfort mode or so and you want to pass
Just push and hold the paddle shifter for few seconds and the screen will display boost
Then kick down the gas paddle
That's it

Pull back the left aka the negative shifter when you need a boost. You will see dash do some sort boost ready trickery indicating it’s loading up and then just pin it

When you press the left paddle to activate the boost function, doesn't it downshift the transmission?

Tried the boost function today, works great. It definitely provides a nice boost of power.
