Fixing Radial Tire Marks -- paint
I was debating on whether or not I should have my paint professionally fixed after I had a piece of tire (metal slash) hit my car on the way to a New Year's Eve event. However, after watching a lot of YouTube videos and gaining some confidence to do some paint work myself I purchased a polishing kit from the auto parts store. The kit came with some basic substances and the polishing tool, but I opted for some higher quality ones from Meguiar.
I'm happy I watched those videos and decided to do it myself, pretty good results in my opion. P.S. The headlight, plastic pieces, etc. will be fixed this weekend, just was waiting for them to arrive so decided to tackle the paint first. Before: After: The first time I tried it didn't turn out as great, but then I tried wet sanding before compound and it made a huge difference. |
